Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
Course Duration: 3 Hours
Location: Senate House, Alsager ST7 2EZ
The presence of an AED in any environment, from the work place to a school, will improve all individuals safety and security. Individuals trained in the use of an AED device increases the effectiveness of its treatment and the chances of casualty survival. Training will enable participants to implement and maintain compliant AED use - regular training, practice and support for these skills must be implemented to remain up to date.

In obtaining this qualification through Senate's comprehensive course structure, participants will gain an in-depth knowledge of the use of AED devices, enabling each to be confident and proficient when providing necessary treatment. The course involves theoretical, practical and hypothetical learning, giving exposure to potential scenarios that participants may encounter. Through training in the use of AED devices, participants will be more accessible and readily available to casualties, increasing the chances of survival.
